Mugwort: is great for congestion due to her decongestant and expectorant properites. Her aroma works by fighting the swelling and itching of the throat, and nasal congestion. hopefully relieving stuffiness.
Mullein: relaxes the lungs and alleviates dry cough
Rosemary: helps relieve congestion in the sinuses and lungs
Incense Cedar: acts as a lymphatic decongestant
Douglas Fir: acts as a antiseptic, folks have used them for coughs and congestion.
Stock up for the season
DIRECTIONS:
- boil a large pot of good water,
- simmer,
- add the herb bundles (as is, tied, makes clean up easier. Or unbundle them and toss it in the compost or in your back yard when done with)
- keep adding good water as needed
- simmer all day over your wood stove or kitchen stove or slow cooker
